Point Loma Library, Back to School Recipes In this culinary lab we learned about the differentvarieties of tofu and how tofu can be used as a substitute for chicken. Recipes included a Chick’n tasting session and Chick’n Caesar Wrap, Lavash pinwheel sandwiches made with vegan mayo (we tried Follow Your Heart’s pesto mayo) and a dessert of homemade brownies…a traditional recipe veganized with vegan butter and tofu used as an egg substitute. Pacific Beach Taylor Branch Library, Vegan Seafood: Sponsored by Grocery Outlet, we had an abundant supply of organic produce and ingredients for delicious Hawaiian Poke Bowls, made with the catch of the day…watermelon.
